The Michigan Wolverines take an unclear quarterback situation and a poor track record against the spread into their rivalry game against Michigan State this weekend.

Michigan is a 10-point betting favorite against the Michigan State Spartans with a 40-point total in their Week 6 college football matchup at sportsbooks monitored by The head-to-head trend flatters the Spartans, who are 7-2 straight-up and 9-0 against the spread in their last nine games against Michigan.

The Wolverines, who got quarterback Wilton Speight (head/neck) banged up in their last outing two weeks ago and could be forced to turn to the less seasoned John O’Korn, do have some positive general trends. Michigan is 10-0 SU over its last 10 home games, as well as 5-1 SU and 6-0 ATS in its last six games in Week 6.

The Louisville Cardinals are 3.5-point road favorites against the North Carolina State Wolfpack, with a 66 total in their Thursday betting matchup. The Wisconsin Badgers are 11.5-point road favorites against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, with a 45.5 total. Wisconsin is 7-0 ATS in its last seven road games. Nebraska is 9-1 SU in its last 10 home games.

The Florida Gators are 2.5-point favorites against the LSU Tigers, with a 45.5 total. LSU is 2-5 ATS in its last seven road games against teams with winning records. Florida is 5-2 ATS in its last seven home games in October. The total has gone under in eight of Florida’s last 11 home games, according to the OddsShark College Football Database.

The Clemson Tigers are 21.5-point favorites against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, with a 47.5 total. Wake Forest is 6-1-1 ATS in its last eight games against its conference. The total has gone under in nine of Clemson’s last 12 home games against teams with winning records.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 14-point road favorites against the North Carolina Tar Heels, with a 57.5 total. Notre Dame is 7-0 SU and 2-5 SU in its last seven road games as a favorite of at least 10 points. North Carolina is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 home games in October.

The Oklahoma Sooners have not covered the last two times that they hosted the Bedlam rivalry game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Ahead of what’s essentially the Big 12 title game, the Sooners are favored by 11 points against the Cowboys at sportsbooks monitored by While the Sooners didn’t cover at home in both 2012 and 2014, they are 11-2 straight-up and 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 games against their rivals from Stillwater.

Each team has a high-flying offense, with the Sooners’ Baker Mayfield and Dede Westbrook and the Cowboys’ Mason Rudolph and James Washington each being among the country’s top passing combinations.

The Sooners complement the aerial circus by having RBs Joe Mixon and Samaje Perrine tag-team opponents. Oklahoma State has improved on defense, but the likes of DT Vincent Taylor and FS Jordan Sterns might not get much rest while facing two fierce feature backs.

The Washington Huskies are 7.5-point favorites against the Colorado Buffaloes in the Pac-12 Championship Game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. On form, Washington is stronger but QB Jake Browning and his receivers are up against CB Chidobe Awuzie and the best secondary they have seen since their lone loss against Southern Cal. Buffaloes QB Sefo Liufau is a playmaker and power runner.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are favored by 24 points against the Florida Gators in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta. Florida has lost six defensive starters to injuries, but the Gators excel at inducing turnovers and Alabama’s top rushers, QB Jalen Hurts, RB Joshua Jacobs and RB Bo Scarborough, have struggled to avoid fumbles. That might be the only way this one stays close.

Alabama is 4-6 ATS in their last 10 outings where they were favored by 14.5 to 28 points.

The Wisconsin Badgers are favored by 2.5 points against the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis. Badgers CB Shelton Sojourn and FS Leo Musso lead a talented pass defense and Penn State QB Trace McSorley has a tendency to force throws, which could be an X factor.

Wisconsin is built on the rushing attack and Penn State runs a spread, so the outcome likely comes down to whose style of game is established early.

And the Clemson Tigers are favored by 10 points against the Virginia Tech Hokies with a 58 total in the ACC Championship Game in Orlando. Deshaun Watson, a likely high NFL pick in 2017, leads a potent Tigers offense. Virginia Tech, behind junior QB Jerod Evans, will score enough to avoid an utter blowout. Ultimately, the Tigers defense has been the stingier of the two throughout the season.

No. 16 LSU Tigers will finally meet the No. 21 Florida Gators for an SEC showdown 42 days later than originally scheduled. This game was postponed from Oct. 8 in Gainesville, Fla., due to Hurricane Matthew. The new date and location came after several days of contentious negotiations involving the two schools and the SEC.

If the Gators win, they will win the SEC East and then play No. 1 Alabama on Dec. 3 for the SEC Championship. If they lose, they can still win the East if Tennessee loses either at home to Missouri this week or at Vanderbilt next week.

The Tigers are trying to enhance their attractiveness to bowls and strengthen interim head coach Ed Orgeron’s case to be the full-time head coach.
