NEW YORK (AP) Irad Ortiz Jr. won four races at Aqueduct Thursday, including the $69,000 allowance feature aboard Bishop’s Pond.
Ortiz guided the 4-year-old to a front-running victory in the 1 3/8 miles race for fillies and mares on the turf,Bishop’s Pond held off Stay the Night by a half length for her third win in 17 starts.
The time was 2:20.96 over the firm course.
Bishop’s Pond paid $8.40, $3.50 and $2.80.
Stay the Night, trained by Jason Servis, returned $5.10 and $3.60. Texting paid $2.90 to show.
