Serena Williams in Facebook post on racial tensions: ‘I Won’t Be Silent’

Serena Williams became the latest athlete to call for change in the wake of racial tensions throughout the country in a message on her Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon.

After Keith Scott of Charlotte, N.C. and Terence Crutcher of Tulsa, Oklahoma were fatally shot by police officers, Williams explains how she feared for her nephew’s life as he was driving her around to meetings and in an instant was reminded of the video of Philando Castile death.
