There’s a window missing from the Oakland A’s pressbox at the Oakland Coliseum. At first, we thought the window had been stolen and had about a zillion questions, the biggest of which was why anyone would want to steal a window.
Sentimental value? Too cheap to buy their own? It had the perfect dimensions? Khalil Mack sacked it? The Ghostbusters needed it for something?
The San Francisco Chronicle‘s Susan Slusser was the first to bring this to our attention.
The number of conspiracy theories ranged from an Ocean’s Eleven-level heist with window washer disguises to a Moneyball set eBay play.
Maybe Raiders owner Mark Davis just sent the window to Las Vegas early.
UPDATE: In the window justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups. The journalists who investigate missing windows and the repairmen who fix the pressbox. These are their stories.
The window was just broken and is being fixed.
