The Charlotte Hornets took a 3-2 series lead over the Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA playoffs after a 90-88 win Wednesday night. With 4.5 seconds left, Dwyane Wade tried to even the score with a layup, which didn’t exactly work. While there has been great debate over if Wade was blocked or fouled, the game ended with a no-call and Heats fans were livid.
But no one was more upset than the shooting guard’s wife, actress Gabrielle Union, who went off on Twitter — in a super-long (we’re talking 15-plus tweets) rant.
And this isn’t the first time Union took to Twitter to express disapproval with referee calls. Earlier this week she tweeted her agreement with Detroit Pistons guard Reggie Jackson’s idea of fining the referees for bad calls.
Friday night, the Heats and the Hornets will meet again for Game 6 of the series. Let’s hope this time the referees are on point, or not… the world will never have enough Twitter rants.
