Beat writers are a weird extension of a team. They travel to most road games and are at all the practices, but have no affiliation with the team, other than the fact that they write about what’s going on with it for a media organization.
It’s clear that the Philadelphia Flyers have noticed that CSN Philly’s Tim Panaccio has been missing. Panaccio rolled his ankle while on the ice in Montreal. He broke two bones and tore several ligaments and has been sidelined since then.
Captain Claude Giroux joked about Panaccio’s absence and how the team has been playing better without him on the beat.
“It’s funny how since Tim Panaccio got his lower-body injury, we started playing better. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it,” Giroux said.
Get better soon, Tim.
