While the youth movement has turned the Chicago Cubs into World Series favorites, it’s the oldest player on the team that’s made quite a bit of noise during spring training.
David Ross is 38-years old, but he’s fit right in with the young guys. They clearly enjoy spending time with him before his career comes to an end after this season. (Ross has stated that this will be his final year.)
A couple of the players chipped in and bought Ross an electric scooter and a motorized cart to carry his bag into the team’s spring training facility.
Hopefully Ross can control the scooter better than George Costanza.
