Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas is keeping that All-Star momentum.
Thomas lobbed a no-look pass behind his head, around a leaping Michael Carter-Williams to teammate Jae Crowder in the corner across from Milwaukee’s bench. Crowder knocked down the three to give the Celtics a comfortable lead heading into the closing seconds.
Now, this is a play that probably hasn’t been seen and probably will never be seen again. That seems like it would warrant at least a top-five spot on the NBA’s plays of the day.
Nope.
Thomas did make an appearance at No. 10 with a sweet drive, but that assist should have at least been featured. Steph Curry’s half-court shot was the No. 1 play.
