This is why we love sports.
Deven Schuko, an undefeated senior wrestler at Norton High School, went toe-to-toe with Andy Howland, a Dighton-Rehoboth High School student with Down syndrome.
Seconds later, Howland handed Schuko his first loss.
“He threw in a good move,” Schuko said. “He was strong. He’s a tough kid.”
Howland’s shrug at the end of the match just shows what this meant to him. Good on Schuko for reminding us what sports are all about.
